I’m a wife to a man I am obsessed with, a bio mom to a real sassy 5-year-old daughter, and a stepmom to a 17-year-old daughter who is quite possibly the coolest teenage girl I have ever been around. The farm I grew up on, and recently purchased, is a big part of my heart and my connection to agriculture; it is also the home to our farming entity, Saffelle Cattle Co., which currently specializes in direct to consumer beef and pork that we call S4 Meats, as well as a specialty cut flower field we refer to as Blooming Wild. I work off farm as a distributor rep for MWI Animal Health and truly love all things animal science and Agriculture related. Over the past year, I’ve been on a personal healing journey that’s helped me embrace my true self: loving, giving, and uplifting, while also being energetic, silly, and upbeat. I’m fiercely loyal, honest, and protective of those I love, and I truly believe in cheering on the underdog and surrounding myself with hearty, kind-hearted people.

My name is Heather Leak, and I'm 48 years old. My husband, Troy, and I are farmers in Indiana—he’s the fifth generation, and our three sons are the sixth. In 2019, I left my job at the local newspaper to join Troy on the farm, quickly realizing that was where I should have been all along. We grow row crops and raise beef, pork, and poultry, selling directly to consumers through our website. Last year, we opened a storefront where we sell our own products along with local goods from other makers and growers.
